The Dragons and Damsels of Scotstown Moor

The Scotstown Moor Local Nature Reserve is recognised by the British Dragonfly Society as a 'Dragonfly Hotspot'. The moor supports a wide range of different species, including the common and black darter, common hawker as well as several species of damselfly.
Join the Countryside Rangers at Scotstown Moor during British Dragonfly Week to search for adult and larval dragonflies. We will bring along pond nets to search for juvenile dragonflies within the wetland and also scour the grassland for adult insects.
This event is suitable for adults and older children. Please wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.
