Meet the powerful Iyami, the primordial Divine mothers of Yoruba spirituality. Often misunderstood, they represent supreme feminine power, creation, and ancestral wisdom. As "Elders of the Night," they maintain balance, punish injustice, and shape destiny. Iyami means "my mother" - they are the right-hand counsel to Olodumare, the Supreme Creator. With powers of life and death, they regulate the universe, associated with the bird and the calabash of existence. Join us for a discussion and learn more about these Divine mothers and the importance of the divine feminine in IFA.

This is a HYBRID class (In-person and Virtual options available). The Zoom link will be sent out the week prior to the event.

This will be a group panel and discussion facilitated by HRM Oba Komolafe, Iyanifa FaJaLaBi, Iyanifa Faloua'Otun OjeniwajuAdebempi, Iya Osun Awoyinfa, and Awo Falokun

Meet the guest speakers:
👑Introducing HRM Oba Komolafe
HRM Oba Komolafe is a spiritual teacher, visionary, and founder of Global Love Frequency, a sacred movement devoted to love, healing, self-reconciliation, ancestral awareness, and conscious emotional transformation. Her work reminds humanity that we are all broadcasters of energy, and that the frequency we carry within ourselves creates ripples in our homes, communities, lineages, and the world. Rooted in divine purpose, ancestral wisdom, and the healing power of love, Oba guides others to return to wholeness by understanding their emotions, honouring their inner truth, and making peace with the parts of themselves that have been wounded, silenced, or forgotten. Through her teachings, writings, and Global Love Frequency message, she encourages humanity to choose love as a force for personal healing and global peace. Her mission is to help raise the vibration of the planet, one healed heart at a time.

✨Introducing Iyanifa FaJaLaBi - Sarah Roche
We welcome a woman whose life embodies the very essence of the Divine Feminine - a healer, a keeper of ancient wisdom, a scientist, an artist, and a devoted servant of Ifa.
Born in Gary, Indiana, Iyanifa FaJaLaBi carries an initiation into the Sheba Ancient Mystery Systems passed down through an unbroken ancestral chain - a living inheritance transmitted through her great-grandmother by DNA heritage. That sacred lineage anchors everything she brings to this discussion.
Her path as a healer extends into the laboratory as well as the altar. She served as junior scientist under Dr. Tony McGoron in Hematology and Oncology research, contributing to groundbreaking work on platelet preservation published in the American Journal of Clinical Pathology. She later built a career across all phases of pharmaceutical research, bringing precision and integrity to the science of healing the human body.
The creative and spiritual dimensions of her life flow with equal power. She produced, directed, and performed theatre at Indiana University and on PBS television, earning multiple awards for stage design, costume, and technical artistry. She performed as first violinist with the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra, mastering six instruments. She spent years teaching creative writing to displaced teens in Chicago's alternative schools, helping a quarter of that dropout population earn their GEDs. Cincinnati radio broadcast her African historical writings to the wider community throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s.
She brings all of that - the science, the art, the ancestral fire - into her three published works: Universal Prayers for Progressive Spiritualism, Ancient Spiritual Cleanings, and Iyaami, The Dawn of LaiLai.

✨Introducing Faloua'Otun Ojeniwaju Adebempi Falokun
Faloua'Otun Ojeniwaju Adebempi Falokun carries her initiation as both Ìyánífá and Egúngún Priestess under the direct lineage of Awo Falokun Fatunmbi and Iyanifa Fajalabi. That lineage places her within an unbroken current of Yorùbá spiritual transmission - and she carries it with integrity, humility, and reverence.
Her teachings center the sacred truth that every person arrives in this world bearing a divine destiny through Ori. Healing, in her understanding, flows from alignment with that purpose. Through Ifá divination, ancestral healing, rites of passage, women's spiritual development, and community education, she walks beside individuals ready to restore balance, mend generational wounds, and root their lives in Ìwà Pẹ̀lẹ́ - the practice of good character.
As an Egúngún Priestess, she honors the Ancestors as living guides whose wisdom actively shapes the generations that follow. Her work strengthens the sacred relationship between the living and those who walked before us.
Known professionally as Dr. Camelia Straughn, she brings decades of scholarship, counseling, mentorship, and community leadership into her priestly calling. Her academic depth and her spiritual devotion move together as one unified service.
She carries this teaching wherever she goes:
"Character is the beauty of a human being. Wisdom is fulfilled through service. Our ancestors never truly leave us; they continue to walk beside those who remember them."

🐚Introducing Awo Falokun Fatunmbi
Awo Falokun one of the most prolific and respected voices in the transmission of Yorùbá spiritual wisdom to the Western world - a man whose life's work carries the ancient teachings of Ifá across continents and generations.
Awo Falokun Fatunmbi received his initiation into Ifá in 1989 in Ode Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria. Two years later he returned to Ode Remo and received initiation into Ogboni, the traditional judicial council of elders, and deepened his studies with initiated elders across the United States. In 1995 he entered formal study under Awo Famuyiwa, receiving elekes into the Famuyiwa family and initiation into Ogun - a lineage that ultimately granted him permission to conduct Orisa initiations. In 2005 he received the Odu pot from Awo Dare of the Ile Ife lineage, earning the authority to perform Ifá initiations.
Awo Falokun carries a rare gift - delivering highly esoteric information about the Ifá tradition and making it understandable in everyday language for those coming from the West. His written work continues the legacy of great Yorùbá scholars such as Dr. Wande Abimbola, challenging prevailing assumptions about the depth, beauty, and relevance of African theological thought.
He stands as the author of over 51 works, including Iwa-Pele: The Metaphysical Foundations of Ifá, Egun: The Ifá Concept of Ancestor Reverence, Ori: The Ifá Concept of Consciousness, Dafa: The Ifá Concept of Divination, Iba Se Orisa, and a full series of texts devoted to individual Òrìṣà. He travels the world training students in the sacred wisdom he carries, planting seeds of this tradition in communities far beyond its Nigerian homeland.
