When the hero of our story, Hugo, discovers the Divination section at his local library its sparks a deep fascination and he quickly becomes skilled in palmistry, tarot cards and dream interpretation. Join Hugo and follow his journey ‘destined for Greatness’ and meet some of his mentors including the peculiar Professor Castello who introduces him to tea-leaf-reading and the the studious Professor Ryan Sox, an expert in Astrology.“Many people believe the our futures are foretold. The plot points planned. The destination decided. It’s said that each of us has our own lives mapped out for us right in the palm of our hands... Literally!” The audience are invited to get hands-on with crystal balls, tea-leaf-reading, tarot cards and astronomy to actively influence the story. In a world where there is so much pressure on children to succeed, The Divination Tent is a opportunity to see the joy in creative play and discovery.
A gentle, interactive experience for those who take an interest in the mysterious and ancient art of predicting the future! The Divination tent encourages creative play between children and their grown-ups. A one-man-show with storytelling, movement, poetry, physical comedy and simple theatre magic, created for families with children 6-12.
