🎬The Disappearance of Miss Scott chronicles Hazel Scott’s meteoric rise as a jazz talent and major Hollywood star before being blacklisted during the Red Scare.

*A performance response featuring Jamila A. Green will take place immediately following the screening:
Jamila A. Green is a West Charlotte native with deep musical roots, most notably as the daughter of drummer Tommy Green. Jamila has been singing since childhood, sharing her voice in church, at weddings, and–most importantly–in the car. Her sound is shaped by the timeless influence of Chaka Khan, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Ross, PJ Morton, the Clark Sisters, and Rejoice (her aunties/mama’s gospel group). Jamila is also an author, publishing her first children’s book, Give That Drummer Some! in 2025.
