A Dinner Party Where Strangers Become Friends
Join us for our first dinner party at Chelsea — a Santa Monica restaurant whose menu tells the story of one family's journey from India through East Africa to West London and, finally, to the corner of Wilshire and 25th. An evening of New American cuisine with global soul, creative cocktails, and the kind of connection that happens when strangers share a table.
Chelsea is one of Santa Monica's most welcoming restaurants — a family-run spot from father-and-son duo Moez and Karim Megji. The menu reflects the family's journey from India through East Africa to London and Santa Monica: tikka masala fried chicken, harissa lamb tartare, lobster sliders, and New American dishes layered with global flavor.
The room is intimate and beautiful — designed by Hema Persad in muted blue-greens with vibrant accents, plush booths, and a marbled bar pouring some of the best cocktails on the Westside. The Observer named it one of Santa Monica's best restaurants, and the restaurant's own words say it all: a setting "designed for conversation, connection, and dinners done well."

7:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Mix and Mingle
- Come and meet with other Dinner Table guests, get to know who you'll be dining with!
7:30 PM - 9:30 PM: 3 Course Family-Style Dinner
- Guests will be asked to switch seats between courses!
9:30 PM - 10:00 PM: Closing Announcements
- Closing remarks to conclude the evening.
- This is your chance to exchange contact information with those you've met!
Dinner Service
- Dinner service includes a 3-course dinner served family-style for each guest.
- We'll be able to accommodate all outlined dietary restrictions.
- There will be a complementary glass of wine offered to all guests upon check-in with The Dinner Table.
- Additional beverages can be purchased at the bar throughout the dinner party.

- What is the general age range of your events? We encourage guests from all ages and backgrounds to attend our events. Our programming is tailored to anyone looking to meet others. Generally, we've seen the age range of our events to be between 25-40 years old. That's not to say anyone outside of that range can't attend!
- What's the difference between General Admission tickets and Men & Women tickets? Any ticket purchase gets the same experience, there is no difference. We've created gendered tickets to ensure a relatively even distribution of guests at our events. GA is open to anyone.
- Can I come alone? Yes, we encourage it! Our goal at The Dinner Table is to create meaningful connections through cuisine and art. Many of our guests leave with new friends at the end of the event.
- What is your refund policy? We understand sometimes things come up, and that's why we offer a full credit to your next event if you cancel ten days before the event
- Are you able to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies? Yes. Our team ensures the restaurant's menus are flexible to account for a wide array of dietary preferences.
