Electric City Music Conference’s Inaugural DJ Discussion & Workshop

Featuring DJ Image, DJ Hersh and special guest World Champion DJ Ease

For the first time, the Electric City Music Conference will present a discussion and workshop created specifically for DJs, producers and anyone interested in building a career behind the decks.

Whether you are preparing for your first gig, trying to turn occasional bookings into a consistent career or looking for new ways to grow your brand, The DeeJay Lounge will provide practical advice, honest conversation and real-world insight from three accomplished industry professionals.

Meet the DJs

DJ Image is a veteran open-format DJ with more than 20 years of experience performing at clubs, lounges, weddings, corporate events and private celebrations. Known for his seamless mixes, high-energy performances and ability to read a crowd, DJ Image brings valuable insight into building longevity, versatility and a strong professional reputation.

DJ Hersh has been a fixture in the Northeastern Pennsylvania DJ scene for more than a decade. As the founder of BeatTeks, he has built a career that includes nightlife residencies, weddings, private events and some of the region’s largest entertainment gatherings. His experience provides a firsthand perspective on developing a brand, maintaining steady bookings and creating a sustainable career in a local and regional market.

DJ Ease is a world champion DJ and producer recognized for his technical ability, creativity and versatility across multiple genres. His championship résumé includes major national and international DJ competitions, and he has performed throughout the United States and around the world. He brings an elite-level perspective on performance, preparation, music organization and taking a DJ career beyond the local level.

Together, DJ Image, DJ Hersh and DJ Ease will discuss how they entered the industry, continued developing their skills and created careers that extend far beyond simply playing music.

There is no single route to becoming a successful DJ.

Some DJs want to tour. Others want a long-term nightclub residency, a thriving wedding and corporate business, a career in production or a combination of several different paths.

The DeeJay Lounge will examine the bigger questions every DJ eventually needs to answer:

Why do you do this? What do you want to accomplish? What type of career are you trying to build?

Participants will learn more about the opportunities, expectations and challenges associated with touring, residencies, weddings, corporate events and music production. The discussion will help attendees better understand their options and begin identifying the path that fits their individual goals.

Organizing Libraries, Crates and Sets

World Champion DJ Ease will lead a focused conversation about one of the most important—and sometimes overlooked—parts of being a successful DJ: organization.

Participants will learn how to better organize music libraries, prepare crates and structure sets for different crowds, venues and events. Better preparation can improve workflow, create more confident performances and allow DJs to react quickly when the energy in the room changes.

Build Your Network

The DeeJay Lounge will also provide an outstanding networking opportunity for DJs and producers at every level.

Attendees will have the chance to connect with the featured speakers, meet other working DJs, exchange ideas and develop relationships with people who share their interests and professional goals.
