23 Nov 2024 is the 61st anniversary of the airing of the first ever BBC serial of Doctor Who, arguably one of the longest running sci fi TV fandoms in the world, older than Star Trek and Wars! Thrivesome will celebrate the Day of the Doctor this year with local Hyderabadi fan (Whovian as they are called) Hrishi Diwan with a three part event - an "Introduction to Doctor Who" from Hrishi the Whovian, a taster screening of a brilliant gateway episode to start your journey, and a QnA and group discussion with any other fans, or people who have always heard about it but never got into it! All attendees will walk away with a starter list of episodes to watch and reading recommendations to begin plumbing the depths of this fascinating fandom!
