At the center of the day is an open-call, adjudicated performance competition inviting students Aged 6-18 across Central New York region to submit performances in one or more of five Orature categories:
- Spoken Word Poetry
- Oral Storytelling
- Song Based Narrative
- Proverb & Wisdom Traditions
- Call & Response
A Screening Panel of distinguished reviewers selects finalists from digital audition videos; finalists perform live on the main stage at Clinton Square, where a Live Jury of experts will determines cash prize winners.
