In 1975, 90% of women in Iceland just took the day off, and men scrambled to fulfill their duties, sometimes comically so. A gleeful, amazing tale of the feminist collective, "The Red Stockings", and their search for equality. 1 hour, 10 minutes. The screening will be followed by an interview with Director Pamela Hogan, Producer Hrafnhildur Gunnarsdóttir, and Amy Paige Condon, Editor at The Savannah Morning News.

“The U.S. never did pass the Equal Rights Amendment, and today ranks a dismal 43rd globally on the gender parity index, while Iceland has ranked #1 for the past 14 years. And while Iceland still isn’t perfect, it’s the only country to have closed over 90% of its gender gap and committed to reaching full equality by 2030. The rest of the world will take 131 years to get there, based on current trends. There’s a famous saying: “There’s nothing new in the world except the history you do not know.” We hope this untold story will inspire viewers for generations to come to reimagine the possible!“ - Pamela Hogan, film’s director
“Brilliant animation ... a fascinating, captivating and humorous look at this inspirational movement, that's a necessary watch today.” - Yahoo News
“The Day Iceland Stood Still Documentary is a Worldwide Cri de Coeur! The overriding mood of the film is joy...” - Globe and Mail
