Blair Jackson of Classical Guitar Magazine writes “The skill and poise they show… is extremely impressive. And that should give all of us hope for the bright future of the classical guitar!” We couldn’t agree more.
Having already made a great splash in the classical music world at 14 and 17, Jack and Elle Davisson are stellar examples of the very bright future of the classical guitar. Both award-winning guitarists in their own right, together as The Davisson Duo they really shine, displaying rarely-seen artistry and musicianship. It is our very special privilege to feature the future of classical guitar, and we look forward to seeing much more from them to come.
Works by Brouwer, Verdery, Bellinati, Rodrigo, Assad, Albeniz and more.
Doors open at 7:00.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Jack and Elle Davisson‘s exceptional artistry and extraordinary lyricism belie the fact that this brother and sister duo are just teenagers. Since 2017, their thoughtful phrasing, incredible colors, meticulous technique, and expressive playing have earned them a following across the country. Still in school, the duo is developing a reputation for fusing well-known warhorses with modern compositions, creating intriguing programs that present pieces in a fresh, modern way.
Jack Davisson, 17, studies with Christopher Mallet at the California Conservatory of Music. Among his numerous prizes and first place honors are: the 2021 Guitar Foundation of America International Youth Competition-Senior Division; the 2021 James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition; the 2021 Southern Guitar Festival Youth Ensemble Competition; and the 2021 YoungArts Finalist for Classical Music. He has recorded with Guitar Salon International (GSI) and performed with the Omni Foundation of the Arts.
Elle Davisson, 14, also studies with Christopher Mallet. She is the 2022 first place prize winner of the Guitar Foundation of America International Youth Competition-Junior Division, as well as being a prizewinner of the 2022 James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition, the 2021 Southern Guitar Festival Youth Ensemble Competition, the 2021 Society of American Musicians Competition, the 2018 United States International Music Competition, the 2017 Indiana International Guitar Competition, the 2017 Boston GuitarFest Competition, and others.
As a duo, Jack and Elle have appeared numerous times on NPR’s From the Top, a nationally aired radio program, as well as on NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series. They have been featured in Classical Guitar magazine’s video pick of the week and Sunday Prodigy series, among others.
This fall 2022, the Davisson Duo will release two recordings; a single, Petrichor, and their debut solo album, La Vida Breve, featuring works by Rodrigro, De Falla, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Piazzolla and others on Frameworks/Sapphire Records.
