ABOUT THE AUTHORS

is a fiction writer and Japanese translator. Working with David Boyd, he co-translated the Mieko Kawakami novels , shortlisted for the International Booker Prize; , a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction; and .
was born in London to Sri Lankan parents and educated at Oxford and the University of East Anglia. He lived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, for several years, a period that marked him profoundly and prompted his research for what would become his novel, . Since 2010, he has lived in Paris.
ABOUT THE MODERATOR
is a journalist by training and an all-around stand-up kinda guy. Lin, who is of Taiwanese and Chinese descent, is the first author to win three Asian American Literary Awards. Lin lives in New York with his wife, actress Cindy Cheung, and son.
