From the genius minds of directors Jim Henson and Frank Oz comes one of the most popular puppet-filled fantasy films ever, not to mention one of our most requested titles – THE DARK CRYSTAL. Though the film received a very lukewarm response upon its release, THE DARK CRYSTAL has grown into its cult-status among movie-lovers of all ages. Remarkably, the film manages to sustain a believably mystical universe without using any human actors, instead relying upon Henson’s puppet creatures to tell its dark yet whimsical tale. Inspired by the fabled stories of the Brothers Grimm, THE DARK CRYSTAL takes place on another planet in a far-off past, and follows Jen and Kira, the last two members of the Gelfling tribe, who are trying to stop the evil Skeksis from conquering their world.
