The Dancing Hippo Musical Storytime

ABOUT THE EVENT

A magical-musical storytime with a dancing hippo!

The first story will include music and songs featuring a Djembe (a loud African drum). The second story is where the kids summon the Dancing Hippo by embracing their inner animal, whether monkeying around, acting like a chirping bird, of whatever animal calls to them. The kids can dance around with Mvuuu, the Hippo, as the story is being told.

ABOUT THE BOOK

is a story for everyone and focuses on the Hippo’s experience when the Elephant tells them they can’t dance. The Hippo is visited by a wise advisors to help them do what they love the most – and the elephant validates the Hippo in the end!
