The Dance of Glass & Fire: Creating Art with Intention at McFadden’s Studio (In-Person Program)

Do you enjoy creating with intention? Are you curious about glassblowing as an artistic medium? If ‘yes’ is your response to either of these questions, then you are encouraged to join the Well as we take an inaugural field trip this Fall to McFadden’s Art Glass Studio!
As the program begins, participants will be guided in a brief, centering meditation on creativity by the Well’s Program Director, Gordon Creamer. Then, after receiving instructions and safety guidelines from McFadden’s staff, participants will have the remaining time to work with glass as they each fashion their own piece of art. A staff member from the studio will assist each individual throughout the entire project, including the selection of glass colors, as well as maneuvering tools as each piece is crafted.
There are several options available for what type of project you can create:
A flower or an ornament – $65
A paperweight or piece of fruit – $75
A pumpkin, bowl or drinking glass – $85
You will be able to pick up your finished piece after it cools (within 2 days) from either McFadden’s studio or at Well for the Journey.
Please join us for a delightful experience of community, imagination, and inspiration while we make art together! Light refreshments will be served and participants are welcome to BYOB.
Transportation is not included for this program. Participants will gather at McFadden Art Glass at 6802 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, Maryland 21224. Parking is available on the studio’s lot and the surrounding access streets. For more information about McFadden’s, please visit their website at https://mcfaddenartglass.com/.
