The Damn Torpedoes Acoustic

The Damn Torpedoes’ definitive tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers was born in 2009 here in Austin, TX, starting modestly; cutting their teeth by performing songs from the vast Petty catalog in the clubs along S. Lamar Blvd — including many memorable shows at the Saxon Pub!Over time, the band amassed roughly 80 songs in their repertoire of Petty compositions and Heartbreaker live performance cuts and has recreated them for audiences in clubs, at festivals and for private events all across the United States.In commemoration of the band’s 15th year, please join us here at the Saxon Pub on June 21st, when the Damn Torpedoes’, “Torpedoes Trio”, will revive deep-cut Tom Petty gems, that have gotten crowded out by extensive “Greatest Hits” shows, all in an intimate, “unplugged”, story-teller setting.
