The Current LIVE: Celebrating Soccer in Canada
About this Event
Music by two-time Polaris Prize-winner Shad.
Special guests include FanFest curator and Toronto hip hop ambassador Kardinal Offishal, former Team Canada members Diana Matheson and Craig Forrest. We will also meet the coaches who are turning Canada into a soccer powerhouse as well as superfans from across the GTA.
Wear your jersey and show your pride for your favourite local or national soccer team.
Tickets are free, but must be reserved in advance. First-come, first-seated.
The event takes place in the Barbara Frum Atrium of the CBC. Look for the check-in desk in the lower lobby of the Front Street entrance. No latecomers will be admitted after 7:30 AM.
This is a live broadcast of The Current. It will be heard across the country (beginning in the east coast) on CBC Radio and the CBC Listen app.
CBC digital producers will be on site, taking photos and video for CBC platforms and social media.
