About this Event
PSYCHOACTIVE FEST DAY 1 KICK OFF PARTY !
are a garage punk band formed in Tel Aviv by three brothers a long long time ago, in the year 2011AD. Ever since, The Crotches have been releasing rock n’ roll love songs and garage punk anthems to the Hebrew (and a little bit Arabic) speaking audience of the world. They’ve achieved a cult status in the Tel-Aviv scene playing countless shows over the years, without stopping, no matter what crisis was trending upon their region or the globe at the time.
Alas, winning over the ears and hearts of rock n’ rollers in a corner of the Middle East was never really enough for The Crotches… So they moved to America.
To date The Crotches have two full length studio albums and many more singles, EPs and videos. In 2024 they are due to release their first album in English and tour the US.
is a fierce 4-piece noise rock band that burst onto the scene in 2022, originating from the dynamic city of San Francisco. Despite being relatively new to the music game, the band has already established a strong presence in the underground music scene, due to their powerful and unapologetically raw sound.
Drawing inspiration from some of the most influential names in modern punk, such as England’s IDLES and Shame, and Ireland’s Gilla Band and Fontaines DC, RABBIT is a band that pushes boundaries and takes risks.
While staying true to their modern influences, the band also pays homage to post-punk sounds of old, with nods to iconic acts like At the Drive In, Joy Division, My Bloody Valentine, Suicide, and Bauhaus. With their compelling and distinct sound, RABBIT is rapidly gaining popularity as a must-see live act, captivating audiences with their electrifying performances. RABBIT has worked with Jeremy Snyder (Pure Adult, IDLES, Fontaines DC, Gilla Band, Native Sun) to polish the sound resulting in a very energetic work.
Xocé Román
José Román was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico some time in the late 60s or early 70s. As a young journalism student at the University of Puerto Rico, he was a pioneer of the island’s underground punk-rock scene. Armed with his trusty drum machine and adopting the nom de plume Xocé Román, he founded Descojón Urbano, heavily influenced by the industrial sounds of Ministry and Wax Trax records. He was also a founding member of Burning Face, Puerto Rico’s first goth band. As the 90s progressed, he was also involved in the burgeoning electronic music scene, founding the Antártica project. He now resides in Southern California, where he continues to produce music under the name O.P.A.L.
We are not this person and this band is not José Román.
José Román is not a member of Xocé Román.
But he approves this Bio.
