Crazy, silly, happy, funny and nerdy are more than just adjectives, they're attributes we're putting on stage in this “comedy forward” variety show called “The Crazy Happy Silly Funny Nerdy Show.”
That’s CHSFN for short and each show we’ll put on a unique mix of people and personas fitting any or all of the show’s adjectives. Performance styles may include stand-up comedy, storytelling, improv, live music, rare or odd talents and even a TED Talks style speech. The show will feature unique individuals, ideas, stories, successes, failures and everything in between.
Anthony Poponi of Humore.us Productions curates and hosts the show and is excited to shine the spotlight on community members with something fun to share. Anthony is a stand-up comedian and also an expert in human happiness and shares his research and tools via his books and professional speaking. His books are available for pre-purchase or purchase on site.
This “Adult Smoothie of Fun”© will feature 5 to 7 local performers per show, while you sip, slug or pound cocktails, beers or the beverage of your choice. The goal is to curate a show that is funny, entertaining, inspiring and downright silly that builds community and connects us.
The performers:
Cole Pensinger – Cole is dashing, handsome, a great kisser and downright funny. Cole will be performing stand-up comedy and hails from Bend, Oregon and doesn’t like hail. But his favorite actor on “Arrested Development” is Tony Hale whom he calls a role model. All Hail Tony Hale! Cole is complicated, but he’s funny.
Diane Allen – “Get Into Your Life Like A Musician Gets Into The Music” - Violinist and author Diane Allen is a global authority on the flow state. When she's not on her paddleboard or nordic skis, you'll find her on stage at conferences helping people to unlock their genius and love what they do.
Carl Click – Is and old guy with a guitar and his performance “Old Guy with Guitar” is aptly named. We asked Carl to elaborate on his performance and he declined saying he needed to tune his guitar, drink and Ensure and take a nap. While onstage his guitar may gently weep, but Carl will have you cracking up with a couple of his hilarious songs.
Noah Walden – Will be sharing a story called “Jack Wanderlust - Last of the Beats.” When Allen Ginsberg debuted his famed poem 'Howl' at the Gaslight Cafe, Wanderlust was there, sitting on the toilet in the cafe's bathroom. Today, he is considered one of the least important voices of the Beat Generation.
The Roundabouts Improv – The roundabouts will close out the show with ~30-minute set and in addition to putting on some silly bits they’ll have the “experts only” challenge of catching themes from the previous performers and weaving them into their set. And if they pull it off, one lucky person will win a prize!
Doors at 7:00, Show starts at 7:30. Food trucks available onsite. The performance will be in the Webfoot Garage Bar at Silver Moon, adjacent to the outdoor stage.
