The Cotroneo Family Foundation High School Voice Competition

Calling all highschool vocal students! Join us at Nazareth University for The Cotroneo Family Foundation Annual Voice Competition, hosted by Roc Lyric Opera with Nazareth University School of Music and Department of Theatre and Dance.

Students will prepare pieces to perform to an expert panel of adjudicators from Nazareth University School of Music and Department of Theatre and Dance voice faculty. Preliminary Rounds will be anytime between 9:00am-4:00pm. Final Round will be at 6pm followed by a dessert reception and announcement of prize winners.
PRIZES IN "CLASSICAL" AND "MUSICAL THEATRE" CATEGORIES
First Prize: $500
Second Prize: $300
Third Prize: $200
REQUIREMENTS
Open to all voice students in grades 9-12
REPERTOIRE
Classical: Entrants should prepare three vocal pieces in contrasting styles. One must be in a foreign language.
Musical Theater: Entrants should prepare three vocal pieces to include one Golden Age era and one post-2000 piece.
If you wish to compete in both categories, you are required to register and pay the registration fee for each.
ACCOMPANIMENT
Singers must provide their own collaborative pianists. If you need assistance in finding a collaborative pianist, please check that option in the form below. Pre-recorded accompaniment will not be accepted.
