Join us on Saturday, August 1, for a fascinating presentation by **Mae Heagerty-Matos**, costume designer and textile expert at the 6th Street Playhouse. Mae will take us inside the costume shop and share how history, textiles, creativity, and storytelling all come together on stage.
You'll discover:

🧵 How layers and silhouettes transform a costume into a different era
✂️ The creative art of reusing and adapting costumes

☕ Come at 9:30 a.m. to visit with fellow sewists before the 10:00 a.m. presentation. (Early birds are always welcome to help with setup at 9:00 a.m.!)
Guests are always welcome, so bring a friend who loves sewing, theater, history—or all three! Guests are welcome to attend two General Meetings before deciding whether to join ASG.
✨ One more thing... our presentations are completely free! We'd love to welcome you for an inspiring morning of costumes, textiles, and great company.
📌 There won't be a formal Stay & Sew this month, but there are still a few seats available in our Beginner Sewing Class from 1:00–4:30 p.m. If you've been thinking about learning to sew—or know someone who has—this is a great opportunity to get started.
