About the event🌿 The Cost of Caring: Community Healing for Helpers & Healers
Monthly Gathering | Last Thursdays at 6:30 PM📍 Boise Military Reserve💙 FREE to all community carers, activists, clinicians, organizers, educators, and service workers
What is The Cost of Caring?
The Cost of Caring is a monthly outdoor gathering designed for community carers: helpers, healers, and holders of grief who need space to pause, process, and reconnect. In a world that often demands more than it gives back, this space offers intentional restoration for those navigating the invisible emotional and physiological toll of their labor.
This gathering is for you if you are:
A therapist, case manager, nurse, or healthcare provider
A community organizer, activist, educator, or public service worker
A caregiver in any role, paid or unpaid
Feeling emotionally worn down by capitalism, injustice, or the grief of holding others
Ready to reclaim connection to your own nervous system, body, and joy
✨ What to Expect
Each session blends psychoeducation, somatic tools, and community ritual with a focus on connection to nature and nervous system repair.
🌀 Dopamine Reset ActivitiesStructured practices to regulate overstimulation and cultivate embodied presence.
💔 Processing Second-hand Trauma and BurnoutGrief and compassion fatigue don't always belong to our own stories. This space helps you integrate and metabolize what you carry.
🌿 Community ReconnectionGentle movement, storytelling, rest, and breathwork to help you reconnect physiologically and emotionally to yourself and your values.
📚 Experiential and Educational ComponentsLearn tools rooted in trauma-informed care, somatic psychology, and social justice healing.
🌕 Monthly Themes May Include:
