Is your business one of the 32 million American business entities that will be subject to new federal reporting requirements? As of 2024, all corporate entities registered with any Secretary of State (with some exceptions) must submit information relating to ownership of said entity to the U.S. Dept. of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. This requirement applies to both new and existing entities.
