Ekaterina Shulman and Maksim Kurnikov: Constitutional Projects of the Decembrists

We invite you to a lecture by the political scientist Ekaterina Shulman and the journalist Maksim Kurnikov on October 7 in San Francisco.

The topic of the lecture is "Constitutional Projects of the Decembrists."

Ekaterina Shulman and Maksim Kurnikov will discuss two key documents created by the Decembrists: the Constitution of Nikita Muravyov and the "Russian Truth" by Pavel Pestel. The speakers will explain the ideas and sources that influenced the authors, the goals they pursued, and the extent to which their projects were realized.

In the second part of the meeting, the speakers will answer questions from the audience.
