About this Event
The Connecticut Forum invites you to an insightful Forum Encore! event, Reflections on Connecticut's Complex History, on Thursday, November 14, at 7 pm, at the Hartford Public Library, Downtown Library.
The discussion will feature:
- Andy Horowitz, State Historian and UConn Associate Professor of History;
- Fiona Vernal, UConn Associate Professor of History; and
- Chris Newell, Co-founder/Director of Education for Akomawt Educational Initiative
The expert panel will reflect on the forces that have shaped Connecticut over the centuries and will glimpse into the future. This program continues The Forum's recent conversation, Reflections on a Complex America, and now focuses on Connecticut's history, present day and future. All are welcome, and attendance at the previous Forum is not necessary to enjoy this new discussion.
This program is free, however registration is encouraged.
The discussion will be moderated by Khalilah Brown-Dean, host of Disrupted on Connecticut Public, and Wesleyan University Executive Director of the Allbritton Center for the Study of Public Life and Rob Rosenthal Distinguished Professor of Civic Engagement.
This program is supported in part by Connecticut Humanities and the America 250 Connecticut Commission.
