The Confluence Walk 3.7 miles

Take a circular walk in lush countryside and discover mills and wildlife in the final mile or two as the Ver slips quietly into the Colne.
About this Event

From Moor Mill, where the miller used to pay the rent to St Albans Abbey in eels, you'll visit the lakes that occupy the gravel workings of the 20th century. The circular route includes views of the majestic Hanstead House, the ford at Drop Lane and the confluence where the Ver joins the Colne to journey on to the Thames.

The walk is FREE to attend but we would appreciate donations to the Redbournbury Bench Fund. Open to members and non-members. (Park and meet in Riverside Way car park.)

Moderate to easy walking but please dress suitably for the weather and bring your own refreshments. We may stop in Park Street if time allows. Estimated walk time 3 hours.
