🌈 Join us for Round 3 of The Common Cents Club, hosted by Pride PEI and the PEI Transgender Network! 💰 No financial knowledge necessary, all are welcome in this space. Facilitated by professional bookkeeper Margot Williams (she/her) this event offers a relaxed environment to learn and grow together.📚 This meeting of the Common Cents Club will focus on debt management & resources. Join Margot & our community guests to discuss debt repayment strategies, hear about first hand experience dealing with debt consolidation/bankruptcy & learn about community resources that are available.. There will be plenty of time for your specific questions & room for sharing & discussion, however, there will be no pressure to participate!
Debt management can be an overwhelming topic, we will have a quiet space set up that is separate from any breakout conversations. You are free to participate in any way that suits you in the moment whether it be sharing your strategies & resources, sharing experiences & feelings surrounding the topic, or simply listening. Participants are welcome to come and go as they need to.
🔍 Our longterm objectives:
1️⃣ Boost financial literacy: Let's build a common financial language and uncover the messages we've internalized about money.
2️⃣ Break barriers and get intimate with finances: Explore different types of debt, understand account fees, and dive into your monthly fixed costs.
3️⃣ Set tangible short and long-term goals: From creating a spending plan and emergency fund to dreaming big about investments and long-term aspirations.
