About this Event

What does purple smell like? In The Colour of Scent, we’ll step into the many dimensions of purple through smell, taste, and sound.

Led by Heather from chimie and perfumer Léa Hiram, this two-hour workshop invites you to explore purple not just as a colour, but as a multi-sensory experience. We draw inspiration from synesthesia, a phenomenon where the senses blend, allowing us to experience colour, smell, and sound together.

You'll be guided through raw materials, and perfumes selected to capture the intricate expressions, and sometimes surprising facets of purple.

The workshop will be led in both English and French.

Léa Hiram, a freelance perfumer trained with Hermès and Dior in France, crafts emotive olfactory compositions for international brands. A trained anthropologist passionate about olfactory culture and heritage, she founded TheOdore Design Olfactif in 2021 to create sensory experiences that blend playfulness with pedagogy. As a multidisciplinary artist, Léa has been presenting her olfactory installations for the past twenty years, bridging the worlds of scent and art.
