The Colors of Pride: We All Belong!

Join the Forest Park Board of Health on Wednesday, June 10 th at 7pm in the upstairs Community Room at the Forest Park Public Library for a very special night! We welcome River Prabhala, LCSW as our facilitator for “The Colors of Pride: We All Belong!” River will discuss how to manage the anxiety caused by having a marginalized identity, with ideas of how to balance the current political landscape, family expectations, and social pressures. We will also be joined by a Panel of LGBTQ+ neighbors and friends, who will give these questions their personal spin, as well as their own coming out processes, experience of being LGBTQ+ in Forest Park, and changes they’ve seen in the queer community over time.

**Come wearing your favorite color of the Pride flag: black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink/white/blue, or all of them!**

River is a therapist at Urban Wellness in Forest Park. They have worked in mental health for 10 years and specialize in working with queer folks, BIPOC folks and folks with caregiver trauma. They have a passion for working with children and adolescents. They love bringing humor, creativity and a justice-mindset to their work!
