About this Event
A one-night painting experience exploring color, emotion, and the in-between
This special edition of The Color Sessions takes place at Gato Gallery in Miami during Enduring the Spark, the gallery’s Black History Month exhibition.
Led by artist Jessica Kirby, The Color Sessions is a guided painting experience blending art, wellness, and color theory. This session centers on the theme of Inner Spark, inviting each attendee to reflect on and paint from their perceived inner color.
The evening begins with a grounding meditation, followed by an introduction to color as an emotional language. Canvases will be pre-drawn, allowing participants to focus fully on color exploration rather than composition. Attendees will build a personalized color palette rooted in their inner spark and bring the painting to life through intentional, expressive color choices.
This experience is designed for all levels. No prior painting experience is necessary. Clear, step-by-step guidance will be provided throughout, with space for individual expression through color.
Set within the context of Enduring the Spark, this session offers a moment to slow down, create with intention, and engage with color in a communal gallery setting.
All materials are provided. Guests will leave with a finished painting and a deeper understanding of their inner color and creative voice.
