October 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. Delaware State Parks will be commemorating this anniversary with a unique bus tour of the Dover area on Saturday, October 8 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. These 90-minute tours, led by Master Sgt. Eric Czerwinski, USAF, (Retired), will reveal how the fabric of Kent County was permanently changed by the growth of Dover Air Force Base (DAFB) in the post-WWII era. This tour will begin in front of the Richardson and Robbins Building (DNREC) at 89 Kings Hwy SW in Dover and conclude there after a brief stop at the Air Mobility Command Museum.
Reservations are required as seating is extremely limited for both 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. tour times. For more information or to claim your spot on the bus, contact Tom Summers (302) 739-9186 or e-mail [email protected].
