Phase 1: The Creative Lab

The focus here is on high-quality production. Students should develop a "portfolio" of both physical art and rehearsed performance "units."

• Art Stalls: Focus on "Small-Batch" production. Instead of one large painting, students create 10–15 smaller, sellable items (e.g., customized masks, hand-painted postcards, or upcycled puppet kits).
• Performance Stalls: Create "Busker-style" performances. Short, 5-minute repeatable acts (mime, movement pieces, or puppet vignettes) that can be performed for a small audience in exchange for a "ticket" or tip.
• Skill Building: Workshops on craftsmanship and "rehearsal discipline."

Phase 2: Branding & The Business of Art

This shifts from making to positioning.

• Product Identity: Students name their "brand" and design simple logos and packaging.
• Pricing Strategy: Introduce the Cost + Labor = Price formula. They must calculate the cost of their materials and the value of the time they spent creating.
• Marketing: Creating "teaser" posters for the school or community and practicing their "elevator pitch" for why someone should buy their art or watch their show.

Phase 3: The Marketplace & Financial Literacy (Month 3)

The final weeks are dedicated to the live event and the subsequent accounting.

• The Event: A "Creative Fair" where stalls are set up. Half the students manage stalls while the other half perform, then they swap.
• Financial Management: * The Ledger: Each student keeps a simple book recording every sale.
• The "Tax" & Reinvestment: You might introduce a small "stall fee" (which goes toward a group party or a local charity) so they understand overhead costs.
• Profit Analysis: After the event, students calculate their net profit and discuss "Saving vs. Spending vs. Reinvesting" for their next project.
