The Cloisters Solar for All Ribbon Cutting

Representatives from Horning, the District Department of Energy and Environment, New Columbia Solar, the DC Sustainable Energy Utility, and more are gathering on October 24th, 2024, at 3 PM to celebrate the addition of over 1 MW capacity to the Department of Energy and the Environment’s (DOEE) Solar for All program. This system will help support income-qualified D.C. residents with cleaners, cheaper energy for the next 15 years, supporting the D.C. government’s goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2050. The system at the Cloisters is expected to power the equivalent of over 170 homes in the District.
