To encourage the opportunity for fellowship for those attending in person, we will also have other suggested local activities. These activities are optional and costs are not included in the conference ticket pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does my ticket include? - In person

If you are joining live, you will have the chance to interact and network with others attending. Lunch and refreshments are included in the ticket price as long as you book your ticket before Thursday 20th October. If you book after this date please bring your lunch with you.

What does my ticket include? - Online

Joining online - you will have access to the live videos of the talks during the conference. There will also be an opportunity for zoom discussion times in between talks. If you book your ticket before 5pm Tuesday 25th, you will receive a conference pack in the post which will include some refreshments and resources to enjoy. (To receive a conference pack, please book your ticket by 5pm Tuesday 25th October.)

How do I watch online?

You will be emailed the link(s) for the day on Wednesday 26th Oct. The links will become active at the start of the conference. You can access this from one device (phone, tablet, computer) per ticket.

I'm attending in person. How do I get there?

Address: IET Birmingham, Austin Court, 80 Cambridge Street, Birmingham, B1 2NP

The IET Birmingham is about a 15min walk from Birmingham New Street Station. Please check your train times online.

Can I watch the conference after the event takes place?

Yes. If you order a ticket you will have access to all of the online conference talks after the event takes place. Make sure you order a ticket so that you can access the recordings.

What considerations have been taken regarding Covid-19?

We will be assessing the situation closer to the event but will be doing everything we can to make those attending live feel safe.

We would suggest you take a Lateral flow test at home before attending in person. Please feel free to wear a face mask during the course of the day if this makes you feel more comfortable.

Can I get a discounted ticket?

Yes! If you are a member of CIS, you can select a discounted ticket.

Students - If you are not currently a member you can get your first year of membership with CiS for FREE! You can also get discounted membership to CiS if you are a student who has already had their 1st year free and graduates in their first 2 years out of university.
