What a great gift to the community! The fabulous Cleveland Orchestra performing on the beautiful Evans Amphitheater stage at Cain Park. And it is all FREE!
This all happened fairly fast and with short notice. We asked Cain Park for a small number of tickets for Music Cleveland! and they refused. So we try to never take “no” for an answer and quickly sent bulletins out to members with instructions on how to apply for the freebies.

DINNER: On your own - There may be food available on site. Because seating is General Admission (first come, first seating choice) and not reserved, early entrance when doors open at 7 p.m. is advised. Holding seats for late arrivals is discouraged.

NEWS RELEASE: The Cleveland Orchestra returns to Cain Park for a free community concert on Wednesday, July 1, at 8 p.m., continuing a renewed connection with the Cleveland Heights venue.
Conductor Anthony Parnther leads the performance, returning to the Cain Park podium following last summer’s concert, which marked This is the Cleveland Orchestra’s first appearance at the venue since 1957.
Free community performances reflect The Cleveland Orchestra’s ongoing commitment to sharing music beyond Severance Music Center and engaging audiences across the region. The Orchestra sees itself not just as a performing arts institution, but as a civic institution for Northeast Ohio.
The July 1 concert offers a dynamic and wide-ranging musical journey, opening with Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, a bold and enduring tribute to the human spirit.
The program continues with Kauyumari by Gabriela Ortiz and The Mestizo Waltz from Gabriela Lena Frank’s Three Latin American Dances, highlighting vibrant voices rooted in cultural storytelling and tradition.
Audiences will also hear Dvořák’s spirited Slavonic Dance No. 1 alongside Walker’s expressive Lyric for Strings. The program further explores American history and identity through Carlos Simon’s Hellfighters’ Blues and O Le’ Me Shine, Shine Like a Morning Star! from Dawson’s Negro Folk Symphony.
The evening concludes with Adventures on Earth from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial by John Williams, bringing a sense of wonder and excitement.
