What sacrifices have you made in your life? How did it impact someone else -- a close friend, relative or stranger? During the Civil War, soldiers and civilians of Washington made sacrifices daily -- losing livelihoods, limbs, and lives for the war effort. Their efforts left behind not only a changed country, but a changed city as well.
Join a ranger at the Washington Monument at 4 PM on September 3rd & 17th.

This will be a 1 mile walking tour. Please bring your own water bottle and wear comfortable shoes.
