The Circumpolar Stars and the Late Summer Triangle

This live planetarium program is presented by the very knowledgeable Steve Davies, popular host of First Fridays at Blake. Steve will lead guests on a tour of the circumpolar stars. Circumpolar stars appear to never set below the horizon from specific locations on Earth because of their close proximity to a celestial pole. This means that circumpolar stars are visible from that location all night, every night of the year, in the direction of the nearest pole.

Guests will also be exposed to the current night skies and focus on the area of the sky known as the late summer triangle. Also, participants will learn how to use a star map and take home their very own copies.

TICKETS ARE SOLD ONLINE ONLY. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.

Please note that we are a ticketless venue. When you buy your ticket online or over the phone, you are immediately added to our attendee list so there is no need to print your ticket or present an e-ticket. You can just check-in on show night with your name and smile at the door.

Parking is free.

Food and drink are not allowed in the planetarium.

All ages are welcome.
