The Ciderhouse Rebellion combines the dazzling mastery of accordionist Murray Grainger with pyrotechnic fiddle player Adam Summerhayes. The pair play some traditional tunes, particularly from the north-east of England, and compose their own music, specialising in originating new explorations ‘within the moment’ so each performance is uniquely magical in its improvisatory nature.
Adam Summerhayes has been described as a ‘Paganini of the traditional violin’ (fRoots) and his remarkable playing has been lauded worldwide: “Like the direct descendant of the devil’s violinist Paganini” (Badische Zeitung); ‘Astonishing, all-out virtuosity’. (New York Times);
