Sidney & Matilda Presents:The Chords UK+ Special guests
Helmed by founding member and songwriter, Chris Pope, The Chords UK were formed in 2013 to continue playing ‘classic’ Chords tunes from their original 1980’s heyday including their Top 40 Hits ‘Maybe Tomorrow’, ‘The British Way of Life’ and tracks of the Top 30 album ‘So Far Away’.
The band, comprising Chris, Kenny Cooper, Sandy Michie, and Mic Stoner have been cited live as “an incendiary rock n roll outfit” by Louder Than War. Their first release 2015’s ‘Get Famous’ Ep’ went straight into the official TOP 40 singles chart. Followed closely by their debut album ‘Take on Life (2016). 2018 saw them release the critically acclaimed ‘Nowhere Land’ and in 2022 ‘Big City Dreams’ LP saw them take it on tour in the USA, Europe, and the UK. They scored a No 1 on the legacy Charts with the single ‘All for nothing at all ‘.
In Spring 2025 they toured UK and Europe to promote their critically acclaimed ‘best of ‘But Then Again’ album. Then they were ‘Out on the Road’ again In October & November on the ‘So Far Away’ 45th Anniversary tour, which included a SOLD OUT 100 Club show in London, promoting their new re-imagined album.
Winter 2026 sees them hitting the clubs yet again, including a highly anticipated show at Sidney & Matilda on 12th December!
