Join us on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 10:00 am for the Grand Opening celebration, ribbon cutting ceremony, and open house at The Children’s Learning and Empowerment Center of Hagerstown at 141 South Potomac Street in downtown Hagerstown, Maryland. Where compassionate support and intentional teaching combine to create an environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn every day. The Children’s Learning & Empowerment Center provides developmental, appropriate learning experiences that promote curiosity, creativity, and independence. The organization’s founder, Donna Jones, is an accomplished educator with over 25 years of experience in childhood and elementary education. As a retired Washington County Public School teacher and a military veteran, she brings strong academic and leadership foundations to the center, as well as deep insight into academic expectations and the skills children need to thrive beyond early childhood. A family-owned business, her daughter LaDonna, is actively involved in the center and will eventually step into the role of Director continuing the family legacy of educational excellence and leadership. This leadership team believes in collaboration, open communication, and shared decision making, while maintaining clear systems, policies, and high standards that ensure accountability and quality. This balanced approach fosters a supportive environment for staff, children, and families.
More than just a childcare program, The Children’s Learning & Empowerment Center of Hagerstown is a nurturing, early learning community built on quality, safety, and intentional education.
