The Chew Valley Big Sing 2024!

Come and sing some wonderful choral music under the guidance of an inspiring and leading choral director.
After the huge success of The Chew Valley Big Sing 2023! we are delighted to be running our second annual massed sing. It was an absolutely fantastic day last year with over 200 singers led by David Ogden. People came away buzzing having explored lots of different types of choral music.
This year we have the wonderful Stuart Overington to run the day. Stuart has worked extensively in a wide variety of choral genres having run choirs for Hallé, Royal Northern College of Music, Chetham's School of Music, The National Children's Choir of Great Britain and Sing for Pleasure.
The programme is to cover a wide range of styles of music including gospel, sprirituals, a Punjabi song, a couple of Stuart's arrangements and the opening movement of Vivaldi's Gloria!
The day is going to follow the same format as last year which worked really well. For the majority of the day the singers will be taught various bits of repertoire by Stuart as a massed choir and the last session will be a final sing through with some local invited choirs performing a 5 mins programme to show what they do.

Bring your own lunch. Tea, coffee and cake available to purchase in aid of the Chew Valley School PTA.
