Chaz's comparable inspiration is probably Chet Baker, others being Andrea Motis and Nat King Cole.

They really bounce off the energy of the audience each other. Knowing there’s more to giving a great, entertaining, uplifting show than technical ability.

Chaz chose flugelhorn over the trumpet as this enables him to access a more "tasteful character". His playing style is not abrasive, overpowering and aggressive, which trumpet sometimes can be.
