The Charlie Herbert Trio Live | Thursday 13 August
Charlie Herbert is a composer and pianist originally from the South-West of England, now based in Cardiff. A graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, he has performed extensively across the UK as well as internationally as a sideman. Now stepping forward as a bandleader, this trio presents a programme of original compositions influenced by folk, blues, Brazilian, swing and classical music traditions. The trio met while studying in Cardiff.
Drummer Sam Green is a bandleader in his own right, releasing his debut album ‘Rivers and Lakes’ earlier this year
Bassist Benedict Stephens is one of the most in-demand players in South Wales.
