The Charles Wood Composers’ Competition: Final

Returning for its second year, three shortlisted composers have the opportunity to hear their setting of ‘O For A Closer Walk With God’ – text most famously set by Stanford in 1910 – performed by members of the Charles Wood Singers. An expert panel, comprising multi-award winning composer Cheryl Frances-Hoad, the Festival’s Artistic Director David Hill and the Belfast composer Elaine Agnew, will give feedback to each composer and decide the winner, whose work will be professionally recorded and performed at the Festival’s Gala Concert.
