Living Out Palm Springs & Sunset Music present The Changer & The Changed: A Celebration of Womyn's Music at Living Out Palm Springs.
They wrote the songs, picked up their guitars, built their own stages and created a musical movement that gave generations of women a place to hear themselves, see themselves and celebrate who they were.
The Changer & The Changed brings that legacy to Palm Springs for a special afternoon featuring Cris Williamson, Corday and Abby Posner, three artists representing different generations of women, music, storytelling and independent spirit.
At the center is Cris Williamson, whose landmark album The Changer and the Changed became a cornerstone of the Women's Music movement. The afternoon will include the presentation of the Sunset Music & Education Foundation Legacy of Inspiration Award to Cris Williamson, honoring her extraordinary contribution to Women's Music.
Joining Williamson are award-winning singer-songwriter, guitarist and cellist Corday and singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Abby Posner, carrying that independent musical spirit from one generation to the next.
The songs. The stories. The guitars. The legacy.
