The Centrifugal Quartet originated from a visit to Berlin by trombonist Jeb Bishop, who recorded a trio session with drummer Michael Griener and bassist Antonio Borghini at the Zentri-Fuge studio.

This recording was released as Centrifugal Trio on Astral Spirits in late 2020.

On Bishop’s next visit to Berlin in 2022, the group expanded into a quartet with the addition of saxophonist Mia Dyberg, performing a live concert at Industriesalon Schöneweide. This concert, recorded by Michael Griener, is set to be released under the title Industry by the Polish label Fundacja Słuchaj.

Their upcoming performance at PANDA platforma marks the quartet’s second-ever show, which will also be recorded live for a future release.

Das Centrifugal Quartet entstand aus einem Besuch des Posaunisten Jeb Bishop in Berlin, bei dem er zusammen mit Schlagzeuger Michael Griener und Bassist Antonio Borghini eine Trio-Session im Zentri-Fuge-Studio aufnahm.

Diese Aufnahme wurde Ende 2020 unter dem Namen Centrifugal Trio bei Astral Spirits veröffentlicht.

Bei Bishops nächstem Besuch in Berlin im Jahr 2022 erweiterte sich die Gruppe zum Quartett mit der Saxophonistin Mia Dyberg und spielte ein Live-Konzert im Industriesalon Schöneweide. Dieses Konzert, aufgenommen von Michael Griener, wird unter dem Titel Industry beim polnischen Label Fundacja Słuchaj veröffentlicht.

Ihr bevorstehender Auftritt in der PANDA platforma ist das zweite Konzert des Quartetts und wird ebenfalls live für eine zukünftige Veröffentlichung aufgezeichnet.
