The Cats Meow — A Meowing 20s Burning Man Fundraiser

Dust off your finest 1920s attire, whiskers and cat ears optional but highly highly encouraged. On Friday, August 7th, Mioli Music label heads Emanate and friends take over Dead Ringer in Reno for The Cats Meow, a Roaring 20s themed night of dance, community, and purpose — raising funds to bring two beloved Burning Man camps back to the playa.

This one is about the art. The Cozy Cat Camp has weathered it all — the historic flood of 2023, and then, back home in Reno, the theft of their original cat tower. Undeterred, they rebuilt. Now they're reviving the Cozy Cat Condo: a 10-foot, climbable cat tower complete with scratching post and a front-row view of Black Rock City sunsets. Every ticket helps get it — and the Byrds — home to the dust this August.

The night unfolds in two acts:

We open with an Ecstatic Dance Journey led by Omtanke (8:30–10PM) — arrive early, move freely, set the intention for the night.

Then the decks light up:
