The Carolyn Sills Combo, with their signature brand of 'spaghetti western swing,' had been gaining big momentum in the two years prior to the worldwide Covid lockdown: logging over 35,000 miles in their tour van playing shows from California to Chicago, Texas to Tennessee, winning the 2018 Ameripolitan Award for Best Western Swing Group, the 2020 NEXtie Award in Santa Cruz for Band of the Year and releasing their acclaimed album, "Return to El Paso," a collection of original songs inspired by Marty Robbins' 1959 smash hit. Band leader, singer and bassist Carolyn Sills is "the real deal in throwback country music" (Good Times Magazine), known for her songs written with devilish wit and a reverence for her musical and literary heroes.
