De-Ann Weekes (Calgary) - Born on the beautiful Caribbean island of Trinidad, De-Ann uses her Afro-Caribbean culture to encourage young men and women to believe in themselves. Her vision for D Rhythm Soul Dance Experience is to capture hearts through the creative and interpretive use of Creole dance styles mixed with classic dance techniques. Her work can only be measured by the volumes spoken of her by others.
La Shaun (Trinidad & Tobago) - La Shaun is an Assistant Professor of Dance at the University of Trinidad and Tobago the Founder holding an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of the West Indies (UWI), and an MFA in Dance from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. Her touring experience includes Europe, Canada, the USA and the Caribbean as lead dancer and choreographer with the world renowned Soca King Machel Montano for 7 years, as well as 22 states in USA with international artiste Pitbull. She has taught Soca Dance, Caribbean Contemporary and dance fitness workshops in South Africa, Australia, France, London, New York, Atlanta, Miami, Guadeloupe and Martinique.
