The Care Studio: Interactive Rituals for Skin, Body & Self-Love
About this Event
In partnership with Sheena Hanscel of the Pollen Patch Columbus, The Care Studio is an interactive wellness experience centered on ritual, touch, and self-devotion.
As part of The Urban Arts Space Artist Commune series and in collaboration with the Sacred Spaces Collective, these offerings nurture creativity, embodiment, and communal care through intentional making. Check out more events in the series here:
What We’ll Make
🌿 Two 2oz salt, coffee or brown sugar scrubs
Choose your exfoliant base (salt, coffee or brown sugar), pick your oil (coconut or grapeseed), and customize your scent with essential oils. We’ll talk through ingredient benefits, ratios, and how to create blends that feel good on the skin.
💧 Two aromatherapy shower steamers
Learn how to mix, shape, scent, and color shower steamers using natural ingredients. You can create calming, uplifting, or seasonal aromas — and choose the color that feels right to you.
You’ll take home one set for yourself and one to gift — perfect for practicing a combination of love and self-love.

Parking Garages:
There are three parking garages near Urban Arts Space, as well as metered street parking. If you are coming to the Space for an evening event or program, most street parking is available after 6pm but spaces are limited. Recommended parking garages include:
-Ohio Statehouse Parking Garage (Enter from westbound Broad Street or from Third Street). We recommend the Ohio Statehouse Parking Garage on Third Street when accessibility is a concern.
-Riffe Center Parking Garage (Enter from Front Street)
-Columbus Commons (City Center) Parking Garage
