The Capitol is an original, high-energy 8-piece funk band based in Austin, TX. Blending pop-inspired songwriting with the modern edge of hip-hop, R&B, and neo-soul, their sound is as tight as it is infectious. Highlights include a national spotlight with their debut single Vaporize featured in the season 6 finale of Netflix’s Queer Eye, opening for legendary acts like Rebirth Brass Band and Grooveline Horns (Jason Mraz, Zac Brown Band), and a horn section that’s toured nationally with Whiskey Myers.
